They say when you pray to God, go to your alone place. So I went and this is what i saw.
This place was over an hour hike from my car. I put my bible in my pack along with some water. I went there for the sole purpose of spending time in prayer with God. I expected nothing but a view that might remind of the greatness of God. I was just sitting down when this site appeared. I wondered about what I was seeing. Is anyone else seeing this? I thought. The longer I remained in prayer the closer the sun came. After I had finished I stood to my feet and as I collected myself for the journey back the sun spot just disappeared. Maybe this was just a gift for me.
For a perspective, the pine tree next to the trail is 25 ft high. The hill I'm standing on is 165 ft above the water level. The sun spot stayed for over 25 minits coming closer to shore the longer it stayed.

Mother Theresa

“May today be peace within... May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be... May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith... May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you... May you be content knowing you are a child of God... Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love. It is there for each and every one of you.”

Mean Girls

I know girls who are the sweetest human beings on the earth when it comes to interacting with males.

Those girls are good people. Some of those girls however, become seemingly territorial when another girl comes into the picture. Even hostile.

Here are some examples: Mothers and step daughters, sisters and stepsisters, sisters, girls that call themselves friends, mothers in law and daughters in law, mothers and daughters.

A struggle for hierarchy perhaps. But here is what is see;
One contemptuous female who is very territorial with a blatant contempt for other women, will hold a "simple minded female" in contempt if she were to even say hello to her man.

This man in her life could be her friend, boyfriend, brother, or dad. Any combination or all of them.

The contemptuous female may be highly skilled at subtle flirtatious gestures toward men. So when she witnesses a simple "hello" from another female to a man to whom she believes she has a connection, she can't bear it. It can infuriate her to the point of despising that simple female anytime her man is in the same area with this girl or any girl.

The contemptuous female being "highly skilled" includes but not limited to the following;
She doesn't let anyone see her fury. Both optional and situational but calculated.

She may even try to make friends with the simple girl. Keeping her enemies close.

She can act simple minded or even stupid if she perceives that a man is attracted to that.

She cannot trust easily. Usually conditional.

If she were to read this and believe it was written about her she might try to belittle me in order protect or justify herself.

Because of the intensity of all of the above traits, they intertwine themselves in all other areas of the these females lives. These traits may only be "flareups" at certain times, but ever present.

Because she can act simple minded like the "real simple minded girl", how can she really know that the real simple minded girl isn't acting too?

Because of her distrusting disposition she'll treat most all girls especially the nice ones with contempt.

She cannot help herself. She is stuck in her mind. She doesn't like being this way. Thinking a different way would be like cutting off her own arm. She is a good person down inside and she tries to make up for her shortcomings but doesn't always know how.

Galatians 6:1
Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.

Divine Wisdom

There is a divine wisdom that only comes from God. The wisdom to see into the heart.

There are a few people who carry the heart of God with them. And they have the ability to see the hearts of others.

The fact is that we all have some of that ability. Or the heart of God.

Have you ever walked into a room and felt the heaviness of someones anger or pain without having to verbally inquire about the situation? That's like a God stamp in our spirits. We know certain things at certain times whats in other peoples hearts because we are spirit driven.

Some people confuse this ability and make it their own. They believe that simply because they think it, that it must be so. They separate themselves from God in this way.

Some Christ followers that I know truly have a gift that some refer to as "Spiritual Discernment" and at times are able to see the hearts of others.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Time

Our time is very precious to us. Whether we use it wisely or squander it. Its exactly that, our time.

We sometimes give it to people, but they usually work it into an agenda. " If I do this for you then you have to do this for me".

We even go so far as to keep tabs on people. "This person owes me a favor".

What if we all gave our time away expecting nothing in return. We could do it just because we love those people. Expecting nothing.

Someone did that very thing for all of us. He gave all his time. He gave his life. Jesus.

Deny Yourself

Go against what you think you know about life and let God teach you about yourself.

Test this. But you'll have to deny yourself just a little. You'll have to go against yourself.

I'm not suggesting that you have to apologize but let use this as an example;
Do you remember as a child that you did something wrong and you had to say "I'm sorry" to another person?
After saying it you knew there was something right about doing the right thing?
Even if you wouldn't admit to it.
You were made or asked to go against yourself to do this thing?
Even if it really wasn't in your heart you felt something tug your insides when you said the words.

Jesus is the same way. He tells the truth. He teaches the truth about God. The Bible is like a mirror we can use to see ourselves in a way we never thought of.

1 Corinthians 2:13
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

Right Where You Are

God accepts you right where you are in life. He doesn't sit back and wait for you to become a bible scholar, or a minister, or an evangelist.

He doesn't care if you're a doctor, or a tax collector, or a fisherman, or a carpenter.

He doesn't care if you've been to church or go to church or never believed in him.

He doesn't care if your a murderer or a do good er. He doesn't care if your divorced or have someone else s child.

It doesn't mater where you've been or what you've done. God loves you the same right where you are. There is nothing that you've done, and there is nothing that you can do to make him love you more and nothing you can do to make him love you less.

He doesn't want to control you. As some would have you believe. He gave you the gift of free will. A line that he would never cross. He has allowed us to choose.

He has created everything in the universe and there is a natural order of everything. He knows that in that natural order there is a way that leads to death. It only happens if we make wrong choices. One of those choices is whether or not to let Jesus into our lives. NOT to run our lives, but to help guide us to make the right decisions. If we fall into the path of making the wrong decisions things may not go well for us.

If you do something and it doesn't come from your heart its as though you never did it. If you give money to the poor, is it because you feel guilty or do you give it because it is whats right?

Life is never easy whichever way you decide. But know this, we WILL have to decide.
If you die tomorrow with out letting Jesus into your life, then your decision was made. What evil could it be to follow Jesus?

Why do you suppose I share these things with people? Do you think its a requirement? I wont go to hell if I don't tell you. So, why do I?

1 Peter 3:18
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall be saved.
