When my wife were raising our son we decided that we didn't care much for the "Now a lay me down to Sleep" child's prayer that we were taught as kids growing up.
So I sat down and wrote this one for my son to pray.
God in heaven I know your there,
Protect and keep me in you care,
I know you watch me from above,
Protect and keep me in your love.
Thank you for Jesus,
He is my friend,
I'll always love Him,
til the story ends,
God bless my parents,
Throughout the week,
God bless me now,
While I'm asleep.
This I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
